The brief for Aurelia Residence was to create a considered family home centred around connection and wellbeing. Light, sculptural form and natural materiality come together to shape a home that feels calm, warm and quietly sophisticated.

The concept for Aurelia Residence came from a desire to create a home that feels calm, considered and quietly luxurious. Rather than relying on decorative details or an abundance of materials, the focus was placed on how light, form, texture and proportion could shape the feeling of each space.

The material palette was intentionally restrained. Instead of creating interest through more finishes, we looked to curves, sculptural forms, texture and subtle changes in light to give each space its own character.

Arches, soft flowing curves and expansive living spaces bring a sense of openness and softness to the interiors, subtly referencing Mediterranean architecture without feeling overly traditional.

Ultimately, Aurelia is about creating a home that feels warm, sculptural and timeless. A space where luxury is less about what you see immediately, and more about how the home makes you feel when you’re in it.

Curved walls, a sculpted ceiling and subtle bullnose reveals soften the space, while layered lighting—from low-level illumination and a backlit mirror to a feature pendant and sculpted downlighting—adds depth, atmosphere and a sense of intimacy.

Conceived as a private sanctuary, the wellness suite uses softened geometry, diffused lighting and a restrained material palette to create a restorative atmosphere.

The Aurelia Wellness Sanctuary was designed as a space for restoration, stillness and sensory wellbeing, with a seamless connection to the gym, outdoor pool and tanning area creating a natural flow between movement, recovery and rest.

Lighting plays a central role in shaping the experience. Traditional downlights are intentionally minimised in favour of soft, low-level illumination, controlled to shift in warmth and intensity throughout the day in response to the body’s natural circadian rhythm.

Materiality and light work together to create an atmosphere that feels grounding and restorative. A combined steam sauna and shower incorporates aromatherapy steam and infrared light, while an integrated sound system adds another sensory layer to the experience.

Every element has been considered with intention—creating an immersive sanctuary that encourages the body and mind to slow down, reset and restore.
